Origin Story by Charlene Kwiatkowski Back when dreams were currency and beauty could save the world a firefly landed on the moon the earth twitched in her sleep and gardens grew. A lover whispered in the dark I can see all of you and the words touched the spine of happiness. Nights were warm but not hot a breeze sang through the open window and time was measured in tides. Little was required at first light save a greeting hands cupped to receive the day’s offering small as an insect’s wing fluttering against a force that pulls and pulls.
